Adversity happens for you

Tuesday, October 17

Hard days happen. Unexpected obstacles appear on our path. Difficult moments threaten to derail us. Adversity enters the chat.

And too many people crumble. They think they are a victim. The point fingers, they whine, they complain, they throw a pity party. They are overcome by the moment. They sit back and ask, “Why is this happening to me?”

And yet we read story after story of people who overcome difficult moments, who endure through hardship, who take on adversity and come out the other side victorious, living a life of impact.

Why? Because they look at adversity as part of the path. They don’t give it more power than it deserves. They sit back and ask, “What does this mean for me?” And then they take the next step. And the next, and the next. And on the other side of it they are stronger, more resilient, more confident.

Adversity happens for you, not to you. Use it to get better. Today’s struggle is tomorrow’s strength.
