Avoidance
Friday, October 11
You keep avoiding the work and wondering why things aren’t getting better.
You keep avoiding the work and wondering why you aren’t getting healthier.
You keep avoiding the work and wondering why the relationship isn’t getting better.
You keep avoiding the work and wondering why your influence isn’t getting better.
You keep avoiding the work and wondering why your culture isn’t getting better.
Avoidance is rooted in fear. You fear you can’t improve what you need to improve. You fear the person you need talk to won’t listen. You fear you don’t have what it takes to do what’s necessary. You fear that you’re not the right person for the job.
And this fear, this avoidance of the work, keeps you were you are. Frustrated. Dissatisfied. Leaving impact and potential on the table.
Stop avoiding what you know what you need to do.
The antidote to avoidance? Action. And it’s the only way to make things better.
