Before you need it

Friday, October 9

There is a popular saying that a healthy person has 1000 problems but a sick person has one. The point being that if your health is an issue, that is the only thing you care about. It becomes your sole focus.

The issue with most of us is that we ignore our health until it becomes an issue. We wait to start working out. We wait to start eating well. We wait to start resting consistently. We’re fine until we aren’t.

But the same is true for our leadership, our mindset, our habits. We wait to work on them. We wait to give them the attention they deserve. “I’m fine right now. Things are fine right now.”

Then a crisis hits. Pressure rises. Adversity arrives. And suddenly we need the things that we should already possess.

Don’t wait until the moment demands it. Work on the things that matter today.
