Believe

Wednesday, April 8

Why do you keep returning to the bad habits?
Why do you keep not following through on what you started?
Why do you keep stopping and starting all the time?

It’s not your skills. It’s not your commitment. It’s not anybody else.

It’s your belief. Your identity. Or, more specifically, your lack of belief. Your false identity.

You don’t believe you are the kind of person who follows through.
You don’t believe you are the kind of person who is consistent.
You don’t believe you are the kind of person who develops new habits.

And you’re right. What you believe shapes who you become. Your habits cannot be out alignment with your identity.

But when you believe better about yourself, you will become better. Your habits will align with that version of you, with that identity.

When you believe correctly, you don’t have to strive.
