Burnout or boredom?
Burnout or lack of purpose?
Burnout or distraction?
Burnout or blaming?
Burnout is real. Let’s be clear about that.
But let’s also be honest, most people aren’t burned out.
They’re bored.
They’re misaligned.
They’re unfocused.
They’re avoiding ownership.
It’s not their circumstances, it’s their perspective.
It’s not the work, it’s how they see the work.
It’s not the world, it’s how they see themselves in it.
It may not be rest that you need. It might be meaning.
You may not need to work fewer hours. You might need clearer priorities.
You don’t need an escape. You need a purpose worth pursuing.
You’re not burned out. You’re under-challenged, under-inspired, and overwhelmed by your own thoughts.
Because when you spend all day thinking about what’s wrong, what’s hard, and what’s missing, you are not just thinking. You’re training your brain to suffer. You’re training your brain to only see the negative. Life isn’t nearly as overwhelming as your doubts and fears try to tell you it is.
Whatever you focus on, you empower. What you focus on, grows.
So maybe the question isn’t “How do I fix burnout?”
Maybe it’s “What am I feeding?”
Look for the good today. Feed the good today. Live your purpose, not your fears.
