Celebrate the good

Thursday, November 30

Leaders often tend to focus on identifying and addressing problems and correcting behaviors.

As a leader, your responsibility is to enhance the performance of individuals, teams, and organizations. It's natural to try and fix the things that are holding back performance.

However, it's essential to keep in mind that not everything is broken or going poorly. There are many aspects of the people, teams, and organizations you lead that are working well. Good habits, the right attitudes, refined skills, and wins are happening. Look for them. Notice them. Acknowledge them.

Amidst the critiques, corrections, and challenges, don’t forget to celebrate the good.
