Change

Thursday, January 16

To help you/your team launch into 2025 with intention, I’m offering half off my virtual team sessions in January. These will be 1 hour sessions with your team, covering your pick of topic: leadership, mindset, communication, overcoming adversity, the process of greatness. More than twenty teams across a variety of industries have already claimed spots. If you’re interested, just shoot me an email here.

And if you’re a leader in sports, be sure to join our new community here.

Growth rarely happens in comfort. That may not be fun news to hear, but it is the truth. And oftentimes, this discomfort is the result of change.

When change comes—whether it’s a shift in your team, a new challenge, or an unexpected obstacle—it’s easy to resist. To push back. To avoid. We like the familiar because it feels safe. But safety rarely leads to transformation. The moments when everything feels uncertain are the exact moments when you’re presented with an opportunity: to grow, to adapt, and to become better.

Here’s the reality: Change forces you to evaluate your strengths, identify your weaknesses, and expand your capacity. It challenges your assumptions, refines your habits, and pushes you to think differently. It’s uncomfortable, yes. It isn’t necessarily fun. But discomfort is the proving ground for greatness. Discomfort isn’t negotiable or avoidable.

And those who embrace change inspire others to do the same. They model resilience, adaptability, and optimism. They show that change and adversity are not something to run from but something to move through, head-on. And that embracing the struggle will make us better on the other side.

The next time change disrupts your routine, ask yourself:

  • What’s the lesson here?

  • How can I grow from this?

  • Who will I become on the other side of this?

You can resist change and stay the same, or you can embrace it and become the leader you’re meant to be.
