Choosing regret

Friday, February 28
Don’t choose regret. Seems easy enough, right? Except that every day, most people choose regret without even knowing it.
You play it safe.
You stay in your comfort zone.
You wait for the perfect moment.
You avoid the risk, avoid the hard thing, avoid the chance of failure, avoid looking ridiculous, care too much about what others will think.
And today, that choice won’t feel like a big deal. Fear will convince you it’s the right thing to do. You’ll move on, get busy, and convince yourself it didn’t matter.
But the future version of you will know the truth.
Because when you look back, you won’t regret the times you failed (every champion talks about how failure helped them). You won’t regret the moments you stumbled, got knocked down, and had to get back up.
You will regret the moments you held back. The times you let fear win. The days you played it safe when you knew you should’ve taken the step.
Fear tricks you into thinking today’s choice is just about today. But it’s not.
Choosing fear today is choosing regret tomorrow.
So do what you know you need to do today. Your future self will thank you.
