Circle of average

It’s easy to stay average because everyone around you is settling for average.

Give just enough effort.
Give just enough care.
Give just enough input.

Not enough to rock the boat and stand out.
Not so little that you get left behind.
Just enough to stay in the circle of average.

Stepping out of that circle is scary.

What if I give more effort?
What if I care more?
What if I speak up more?
What if I risk more?

The key is to flip the lens through which you view those questions. Those are not questions of fear. They are questions of opportunity, of curiosity, of mystery.

Because then you aren’t afraid of the answers, you want to find out the answers.
Step out of average and into your potential.
