Clarity is speed

Thursday, April 11

Clarity creates speed.

Most people can’t take action each day because they don’t know what they want. They have no vision, no specific goal, no peak of the mountain they are running after.

And so they keep themselves busy, rather than being productive. They may do some intentional work now and then, but it always stalls. Distractions always win the day. Any progress they make is both accidental and slower than necessary.

But when you have a clear vision, you know what to do next. You don’t have to worry about what may happen 10 steps down the road, you just do what’s needed to take a step today. The vision sets the action. “If I want to get closer to X, then today I need to do Y.” Rinse and repeat.

Progress becomes consistent and efficient. Which increases the motivation and confidence to keep going.

If you want to move faster, get clear on where you want to go.
