Comfortable or Unbreakable?

Tuesday, May 14

Life is not here to cater to what you want or need. Life is not here to cater to how you feel. Life is not here to make things easy for you.

There are more than 8 billion people on this planet. All trying to make life work for them. Which means it’s working against what you want. For you to want to be comfortable means somebody else has to be uncomfortable. For you to have it easy will make it difficult on someone else.

Which seems pretty selfish when you think about it. And then what happens when life isn’t exactly how you want it to be? You don’t show up, you don’t give your best, you make excuses. An easy life doesn’t make a strong person.

The solution? Just show up and do the work. Always.

Be the kind of person who doesn’t need circumstances catered to their wants or preferences. That kind of mindset only slows you down and limits your potential. But when you can simply show up no matter the situation, no matter how you feel, no matter what happened yesterday, no matter if it’s convenient or not? That’s the ultimate competitive advantage. This is how you become unbreakable and unstoppable.

You can hope it gets easier or you can just get better. Do the work.
