Dabbling

What if you went all in?

One thing I’ve noticed is that for those who are further in their career, fear (disguised as comfort) starts to set in. They still have big ideas and dreams, but they won’t go for it.

They dip their toe in. They think about it. They procrastinate. They try it for a bit.

But fear says, “You have everything you need right now. Don’t screw it up.” “This won’t work, just keep doing what you’ve been doing.”

And so we push the idea or dream to the side.

But what if you went for it? What if the worst thing that could happen isn’t actually what happens? What if it unlocks a new level of confidence, of impact, of insights? What if it’s the exact thing you need to do, which is why fear is telling you to stay put.

Stop dabbling. Go all in.
