Default or Design

Thursday, April 9

Think about who you are when you're at your best.

Leading from what you actually know and believe. Present. The version of you that people genuinely want in the room, who is leading from humble confidence.

You know that person. You've been them. This is your Designed Self. Who you were created to be, at your best.

Now think about who shows up when the pressure is on. When you're behind, when someone pushes back. When fear seeps in.

This is your Default Self. This version of you has a pattern. It's consistent. It shows up at the worst times because something you believe about yourself gets loud when things get hard. Left unchecked, this is who you consistently default to.

Realize what that belief (or, more likely, multiple beliefs) is. Recognize what it leads to. And learn to reset in the moment. It won’t necessarily go away, but you don’t have to let it rob you, and others, of the power of your Designed Self.

You get to choose which you shows up today. Bring your best. Be who you were made to be.
