Distraction or Progress

Monday, October 20
It doesn’t have to be a big deal.
What that person said to you.
That mistake you made.
How that situation went.
That you didn’t get the job or close the deal.
That you failed.
What that person said about you.
Things are what we make them. When we have an unhealthy mindset, we make minor things into major things. And major things require our attention. Which means we are giving more of our attention to something that didn’t need it, and giving less of our attention to what does need it.
So you don’t have to make that thing into a thing. It can just be something that happened. And you can turn your eyes to the path in front of you, taking the next step that gets you closer to who and where you want to be.
You can do the work of distraction or you can do the work of progress. Your choice.
