Excellence is not a finish line, it is a pattern.

Champions aren’t excellent because they won the championship. They won the championship because they were committed to excellence.

The outcome you want demands something of you. It demands excellence in your daily habits, your mindset, your actions. The result doesn’t come without the right work, the right way. The problem is too many of us settle for average in our lives. Average effort, average work, average thinking.

And sure, maybe we get the job done, but are we actually proud of the effort we gave? Are we proud of the level of commitment we gave? Put another way, we shouldn’t play to a scoreboard we should play to a standard.
