Excuses

Thursday, December 21

You know what you need to do. You know the work that needs to be done, the health that needs to be changed, the conversation that needs to be had, the thing that needs to be addressed. You know, deep down, that it is your responsibility to create the change.

And yet, excuses. “I would, but…”

Excuses are you blaming someone or something else for your unwillingness to do the thing you know you need to do. Yesterday you didn’t have enough time. Today you don’t feel like it. Tomorrow, you won’t want to bother them. The next day, you’ll say it’s really up to them. And on and on while nothing ever changes for the better.

Do what you know needs to be done. No excuses.
