Falling

Wednesday, July 3

You will fall down on this journey of getting better. Often.

You will fall down of your own doing, and sometimes you’ll get knocked down by others. Some may be minor slips and some will be major crashes. You should expect this so that you are not surprised by it. I mention it often because it’s something that we need reminded of. Every time adversity hits we seem surprised by it, and that should not be the case.

The bigger key is this: just because you fall down doesn’t mean you must stay down. Take a minute. Catch your breath. Get your bearings straight. And then get on with the next step. Your journey, your commitment, demands it.

You were made for this. Keep going.

*no emails from me the rest of the week. We preach rest and recharge around here and that’s exactly what I’ll be doing before a busy travel season picks up. Hope you get to enjoy some down time as well. Grateful you take the time to read these emails each day (especially for those who share them with their teams and families). Means the world.
