Foreshadowing

If you’re a man, the next edition of NO DRIFT - my newsletter for men - goes out tomorrow morning. Get it here.
Friday, March 20
Your self-talk is foreshadowing.
It drives your actions, and your actions create your outcomes… that your self-talk already decided upon.
“This meeting isn’t going to go well.” You walk in with bad body language, lack of confidence, ineffective communication. As a result, the meeting doesn’t go well. It had nothing to do with the meeting, and everything to do with how you decided it would go.
“This meeting is going to be a great opportunity.” You walk in with good body language, curious, confident, clear. As a result, the meeting - even if you didn’t get the exact outcome you wanted - was an opportunity. You learned something from it. And not because of the meeting itself, but because of how you decided it would go. Because you set your mind up to look for the good.
When you speak negativity over your life, you speak negativity into your life.
When you speak positivity over your life, you speak positivity into your life.
The words you speak about yourself tend to come true.
Speak better to yourself.
