Get back up

Wednesday, June 18
Short announcement: for the last year, I’ve been secretly publishing weekly episodes of a podcast to help leaders with their mindset. Now that there are officially 52 episodes available, I’m excited to announce The Leader’s Mind. It is designed to give you the tools and concepts you need to make your mindset your advantage in life and leadership - all in about 5 minutes per episode. Listen on Apple here and Spotify here.
How fast do you get back up?
Life is full of adversity. We consistently find ourselves in situations that challenge us and, at times, knock us down. We tend to believe we’re the only one going through hardship but it is a truth that impacts everyone around us.
The question then is not about whether or not you will get knocked down in life. You will. Many times. The question is what do you do when you get knocked down? Do you complain, whine, wallow and then get back up? How long do you stay down? Days, weeks, months, years?
Growth is decreasing the time that you are on the floor. It’s saying, “I didn’t expect that. I didn’t expect to be here. But I have to get up and do whatever is required of me.” And getting to that place faster than you did the last time you got knocked down.
You can’t avoid getting knocked down. But you can be someone who gets back up quickly.
