Grace

Monday, January 6

A couple of weeks left to take advantage of this offer. Note, the sessions don’t have to be in January, just booked in January. To help you/your team launch into 2025 with intention, I’m offering half off my virtual team sessions in January. These will be 1 hour sessions with your team, covering your pick of topic: leadership, mindset, communication, overcoming adversity, the process of greatness. More than twenty teams across a variety of industries have already claimed spots. If you’re interested, just shoot me an email here.

We’re six days into the year. Maybe you’ve already missed a day as it relates to developing better habits and chasing new goals this year. Maybe you’ve already done something that you said you weren’t going to do. Maybe you’ve already made an excuse, negotiated your commitment, fallen into an old habit.

This doesn’t make you a failure, it makes you a human. Chasing our goals comes with a healthy amount of challenge and accountable, but must be matched with a healthy amount of grace. And while many people may be good at setting a challenge for themselves, most are terrible at giving themselves grace along the way.

You didn’t magically become a new person on January 1. Your old habits didn’t just disappear. The habits you want didn’t suddenly take root. It will take time. It will be three steps forward and one step back. Sometimes two steps forward and three steps back. The goal to just keep taking steps forward. Don’t let your last step be backward. Let your next step be forward.

“I don’t have to be perfect. I can start again today.” Repeat that whenever you start beating yourself up. Give yourself some grace, then take the next step.
