Greatness

Friday, June 20

For leaders in sports: we are launching 3 cohorts in July. One for Coaches, One for ADs (and anybody who isn’t in a coaching role), one for our Game Within mental performance program. Some details here. If you are interested, reply to this email.

For leaders outside of sports: I’m launching one for you as well. Focused on growing your leadership, communication, influence and team performance. Reply to this email for details.

Everybody wants the highlight reel.

The big moment.
The public shoutout.
The post-worthy win.
The transformation.
The trophy.
The promotion.

But that’s not where greatness is built.

It’s built in the early mornings when nobody’s watching.
It’s built when you’re tired but still get the reps in.
It’s built when you keep going even though it feels like nothing’s changing.
It’s built in the connections and conversations behind the scenes.

Showing up consistently, especially when it’s hard, boring, or unnoticed, isn’t glamorous.

But it is where the magic happens. It is where the growth happens. It is where your potential is truly unlocked. Greatness is a process, not a result.

Because the average person quits when it gets hard.
They make excuses when it stops being exciting.
The run when they don’t get immediate results.
They start over again and again, but never actually build anything.
The result? Frustration, burnout, unmet potential.

So you can be like them, or you can be different.

You can show up.
You can do the work.
You can keep going.

That’s the difference.
That’s the edge.

So today, don’t worry about the results.
Just show up. Again. And again. And again.

Greatness is boring. Do the work.

Keep chopping wood. 🪵🪓
