Intentional Habits

Friday, May 23
Are you showing up accidentally or intentionally? For a project I’ve been working on, I’ve been workshopping what I’m calling the Intentional Habits. Things to do each day to be intentional, not accidental. I don’t think the list is final yet, but here’s where I am so far. Would love for you to implement these into your life, but would also welcome any feedback.
The Intentional Habits
1. Meet With Yourself First
Start the day by filling your own cup. Work out, journal, pray, meditate.
Fill yourself up before you give yourself away
2. Practice Gratitude
Write down 5–10 things you're thankful for.
Gratitude is fuel for the soul.
3. Get 3 Wins
One personal. One professional. One for someone else. Small wins count.
Momentum is built in small moments.
4. Train Your Body & Mind
Lift something heavy. Develop your resilience.
Strong body + Strong mind = Strong foundation for life.
5. Celebrate Others
Spot greatness. Call it out.
Be a noticer of the good.
6. Honor Your Commitments
Write down what matters today. Then do it.
Discipline isn’t about feeling like it, it’s about finishing.
7. Reflect Daily
Review the day. Own what worked and what didn’t.
Awareness is the first step to growth.
Don’t drift. Be disciplined.
Keep chopping wood. 🪵🪓
