Internal or External

Monday, July 13

What drives you?

Their opinions? Their approval? Their applause? Fear of their disapproval?

Or finding your potential? Or seeing what you’re made of?

External motivation isn’t inherently bad, but it overall it is bad fuel. It doesn’t burn clean. It is constantly looking for a new source. It never leaves you at peace or satisfied with what you’ve accomplished, because there is always another external critic to please.

Internal motivation is the eternal flame. It only requires you. It leads to both enduring growth and satisfaction.

Be driven by what is within.
