Just for the men
I know, I know. Another Saturday email. First off, I have a couple of spots open in the leadership cohort I’m launching ASAP. If you want to accelerate your growth as a leader in the next 12 months at an affordable cost, reply to this email. The group we’re putting together is phenomenal.
But the real purpose for this email is for a special announcement. Specifically, for men (ladies, feel free to read and to share with any men in your life).
A few months ago I sent out a survey for men. I had a hunch when I sent it:
That even men with “good” lives - good job, good family, etc - still feel stuck.
Like something is… off.
Like they’re not living with the clarity, purpose, and direction they were made for.
The survey confirmed it. Here's what I found:
41% said they were struggling or distressed
54% struggle with consistency
44% lack clear purpose
60% experience daily anxiety, frustration, or despair
42% said they’re unsatisfied with life
And many couldn’t remember the last time they felt confident
I call this drift.
It starts small, then settles into our lives. It spreads into our mindset, health, relationships, career, etc.
The longer it stays, the heavier it gets.
So I decided to do something.
For a while now, I’ve felt this stirring to do something specifically for men. Not in replacement of the work I get to do with BETTER (I love the work and impact of the work too much), but in addition to. The Keep Chopping Wood email will also continue as normal.
It’s not even a side hustle, it’s just a passion project. A place to share ideas, challenges, tools, encouragement and create community for men who are tired of coasting.
That project is called NO DRIFT. It will begin as a weekly newsletter. Short but practical, powerful and proven. Nothing crazy. I’m tired of opening the internet and seeing that to be a successful man you have to wake up at 3a, run a marathon, kill a lion, do cold plunge and sauna intervals, do 2 hours of journaling and then before you go to bed you have to do it all over again with a complicated night time routine. It’s unnecessary and unfruitful. You don’t have to blow your whole life up to live on purpose. Being better often looks like doing less.

I’ll be honest. I’ve battled some demons in working to launch this. I’ve distracted myself with things like names, logos, slogans to avoid wrestling with the doubts and insecurities. The questions of, “Who are you to do this?” What makes you the expert?”
Often in my life when those questions/doubts come in it means I’m on the right path. It’s not about me being the expert. It's about inviting people into something bigger. So it’s go time.
NO DRIFT launches next week.
I’m open to your input: what day of the week do you think is best for something like this? Sunday evening? Monday morning? Saturday as a weekly reset? Let me know.
What do to next:
