Keep Chopping Wood. Thursday, August 10

Feeling good is overrated.

I was talking to a leader recently about the ability to show up and be great on days where you don’t feel like it. I loved his perspective. “My goal has been to be good enough that I don’t have to ‘feel’ good in order to be great. We all have off days, of course, but I don’t want to beholden to my feelings and emotions.”

What a challenge. Average people are great when they feel like it. The greats are great because they choose to be.
