What does this create for me tomorrow?

Life is about making decisions. Each decision we make today can either benefit us or cost us tomorrow.

Most people focus on the immediate impact of their decisions. They ask themselves, "Does this make me more comfortable? Is it easy? Is it convenient?"

But what about the long-term impact of our decisions?

Avoiding difficult conversations may be easy today, but it will cost us tomorrow. We may avoid conflict or discomfort in the moment, but we will miss out on the opportunity to resolve the issue, learn from it, and grow.

Skipping the workout may be convenient today, but it will cost us tomorrow. We may avoid the effort and soreness in the moment, but we will also miss out on the physical and mental benefits of exercise.

The difficult things we do today are the things that make us better tomorrow. They are the things that challenge us, push us out of our comfort zones, and help us grow.

You may be faced with a number of difficult decisions or moments today. Don’t just focus on the immediate impact and on what makes you comfortable. Focus on the long-term impact, and what this decision will create for you and others down the road.

Do the hard things today that will make you better tomorrow.
