Last minute

Tuesday, August 25

Another quick lesson from the ultramarathon we talked about in Monday’s email.

The winner? Due to travel issues coming from the US to Germany, he arrived at the starting line just 15 minutes before the event began.

Didn’t get the prep he wanted. Didn’t get his normal pre-race routine. Didn’t have his rest and nutrition where he would have liked. Didn’t have the advantage that everyone else who arrived on time had. He had a laundry list of excuses he could’ve made. But he didn’t.

None of those things mattered. It was time to run, so he ran.

So you can keep making excuses about your circumstances, or you can just do the work.
