Lead them right

I was talking with a High School coach recently about their upcoming season. “I’m not sure how talented we are yet. Definitely not the most talent we’ve had. But if you lead them right, you don’t have to be the most talented to get good results.”

This is leadership. You won’t always have the talent you want. You won’t always have the resources you want.

But can you focus on what you do have, and lead in a way that gets the best out of people?

Talent matters. Leadership matters more.
