Let go
Wednesday, January 1
To help you/your team launch into 2025 with intention, I’m offering half off my virtual team sessions in December and January. These will be 1 hour sessions with your team, covering your pick of topic: leadership, mindset, communication, overcoming adversity, the process of greatness. More than twenty teams across a variety of industries have already claimed spots. If you’re interested, just shoot me an email here.
January 1. The start of a new month. A new year. I've said it before—today is just another day. There’s no magic in January 1.
But I also know the turn of the calendar brings new hopes, dreams, and expectations. For many, it also brings regret—regret for the goals left unmet, the actions not taken, the person you hoped to become but didn’t.
That regret can turn into shame. And shame can lead to inaction. “If I didn’t do it last year, why even try this year?”
So today, let’s not dwell on the year ahead—or the one behind. Let’s focus on letting go.
Breathe in confidence and expectation. Breathe out regret, shame, and doubt.
Breathe in belief and truth. Breathe out fear and lies.
Learn from the wins and losses, the progress and setbacks. But don’t carry them into this year. Last year is over. It doesn’t define you. You might even want to write down the failures, frustrations, setbacks, lies, fears and excuses of 2024, then light a match to them to symbolize that they are gone and will not be entering into 2025 with you.
This year can be different—you can be different. You have the choice. You have the power.
So let go of what was or what wasn’t. Decide who you will be in 2025. Step into this year not weighed down by the past, but lighter, freer, and ready to embrace what’s ahead.
2025 is here. You’ve got this.
