Make an impact

“You have no idea the impact you just made on more than 500 student-athletes.”

This was the statement a coach made to me after a recent session with their athletic department. It should be obvious that you always impact more than just the people in the room, but in the moment my focus is always on those in the room.

It was a reminder that your reach is far wider than you realize. By impacting just one person, you will impact everyone they interact with that day. This isn’t true just of people on stages, at the front of the room or the top of the org chart. It is true for everybody.

Today you get to make a significant impact. But only if you choose to show up on purpose and serve those in front of you.
