Playing small

Wednesday, July 24

Under stress, most of us have a tendency to play small. We mute our voice, limit our effort, and decide to fit into a role where we are unseen.

This could be because of failure, it could be because someone said you aren’t good enough or that you’re too much, too loud, too direct, too critical, too scattered, too silly, too inexperienced. And we let those words shape how we view ourselves. We gave someone else the power over how we show up.

Today you can take your power back. You don’t have to believe the lies. You don’t have to live out of a false identity. You don’t have to hold back. You don’t have to play small.

Today you can be you. You can bring your absolute best to the day, to the moment. You can show up with your superpowers, ready to make a difference.

Or you can continue to play small and complain that nothing is changing.

Commit to your best.
