There are things today that you wish you had done yesterday - or last month, last year, 5 years ago.

Things that, had you not avoided them, would have put you in a better position today. This could be in your leadership, your health, your finances, your culture, your relationships, your career. And because you didn’t do them yesterday, you have to do them today. It feels like you are trying to catch up to where you should already be.

You don’t like that feeling today, and you certainly won’t like it tomorrow. So learn the lesson of discipline. Of knowing that comfort today creates hardship tomorrow. Of realizing that how you feel shouldn’t dictate your actions.

Think about where you want to be tomorrow. Think about the work you’ve been avoiding and what it will cost you. Not about how you feel about the work today, but how you’ll feel tomorrow because you avoided it.

Don’t put it off. Don’t wait for the perfect time. Don’t make excuses.
Do what future you will be grateful for.
