Practicing

Tuesday, June 23
How do the best in the world become great at what they do? From athletes, to musicians to artists. They practice.
They go out. They try. They fail. They learn. They adapt. They try again. They get better.
They didn’t get good at shooting a basketball or hitting a baseball or running a marathon or playing an instrument by trying it once. It was hours and hours and hours of practicing. They failed, it was frustrating, but they were committed. They didn’t view failure as a problem, it was simply a requirement of becoming great.
This is true for you in your leadership, in your mindset, in whatever area you are trying to get better in. You cannot expect to be great today. You can simply expect to practice. And then practice again tomorrow. And the next day. And the next day.
Greatness in performance only comes from failures in practice.
Keep showing up.
