For the praise
Monday, June 17
You don’t need their praise. You don’t need their celebration. You don’t need their congratulations. You don’t need their attention.
Would it be nice? Of course. Should they give it? Probably. It’s always good to notice, celebrate, praise, congratulate and notice the good others are doing.
But you don’t need any of that to do great work. You don’t need that to give your best. You don’t need that to make an impact.
And to get to that place is a major competitive advantage. Because it means you are driven by something bigger. Something others can’t give or take from you. A purpose that is internal.
Be your best because that’s who you were made to be, not because you want others to notice.
