Preventing progress

Ego prevents progress.

Ego makes you care too much about what others think.
Ego makes get defensive when you get critiqued.
Ego makes you play it safe.
Ego prevents you from doing the thing you know you need to do.

You should be confident.
You should believe you have what it takes.

But you should also be secure in who you are and have the humility needed to learn and grow.

If you want to get better, lose the ego.
