Respect and Self Talk

Friday, March 8

When you don’t respect yourself, you allow others to disrespect you. Their lack of respect reinforces a narrative and identity that you already believe. Which results in less confidence, less influence, less progress, less growth.

When you respect yourself, you refuse to allow yourself to be disrespected by others. You enter rooms with secure confidence. You know that you belong. You speak up for yourself. Anybody disrespecting you is in direct conflict with what you believe to be true about yourself.

The voice you hear most often is your own. Make sure that voice is speaking truth, hope, belief and confidence. Respect yourself enough to speak better to yourself.
