The risk of getting better

Tuesday, September 26

Many people use the excuse that they are afraid of failing to keep them from pursuing their potential.

“What will happen if I don’t succeed?”
“What will happen if I’m not good enough?”

The answer is that you will be better than you were, which is a success.

If we are pursuing our best, the only failure is up. This means we still made progress, experienced growth, and moved forward.

The real failure is to remain average, stay where you are, and never try. Risk, by definition, is the possibility of loss. The only thing you lose when giving your best is your average self.

There’s nothing risky about pursuing your best. Every failure on the path of growth is still progress.
