Rooted identity

Monday, July 6
You believe what you believe.
But do you?
What made you believe it? Was it told or taught to you, and just assumed? Was it just was or is popular and easy at the time?
Or did you wrestle with it, struggle through it, experience it and test it under pressure?
Not just what you believe about the things you navigate in life, but what you believe about yourself.
Most people don’t have beliefs, they have opinions they have borrowed from others. And when they get challenged, they either fall apart or simply change with the winds of the day.
If you don’t know who you are and what you’re about, the world will decide for you. And that is a fast road to frustration, lack of peace, and undermined potential.
Challenge what you know, reject what isn’t true and keep what is.
Be rooted.
