Self Accountability

Thursday, July 2

I often say in team sessions that accountability is a form of care. That it might just be the greatest thing you can give to someone. When you hold people accountable, you are telling them that you believe in them, that they are capable of more. Yes, they are currently living below the line but that doesn’t have to be where they stay. You are fighting for them to not settle.

The same is true for holding yourself accountable. It is caring for yourself. It is acknowledging that you didn’t give the effort, focus and care you are capable of. It is not shaming yourself for that, but it is being honest. And it is reminding yourself that you are capable of better and you should pursue living that standard.

Accountability is a catalyst for growth. Not just for others, but for you.
