Small change, big impact

Wednesday, July 29

When we are dissatisfied with something (career, health, finances, relationships, etc), we tend to think the whole things needs to be burned down and rebuilt. Which seems exhausting, overwhelming and time-consuming. That’s because it is.

Our mind hates changes to it makes change seem irrational.

The reality is you need to make one small change. Health for example. You aren’t going to completely change your diet, join a gym, develop a workout routine and execute it perfectly. So you do nothing.

What if you just started with a daily walk? Or one healthy meal per day (or even every other day)? Small changes add up. Then once those become part of your routine, you add to it. Slowly building, creating the change that you wanted but that seemed overwhelming.

Transformation doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one small, right decision at a time.
