Stacking Decisions
Friday, September 29
One big decision could change your life. The job you take, the person you marry, etc. The problem is decisions like those only happen every now and then. Sometimes, they are truly a once-in-a-lifetime decision. We can sit around wasting our days waiting and hoping for the chance to make that one big decision.
More importantly, millions of little decisions shape the trajectory of our lives. You didn’t get unhealthy from one decision. You didn’t get a lousy culture from one decision. You didn’t become a great leader by one decision. You didn’t become disciplined by one decision.
Getting better requires that we focus on the little decisions each day. The decision to stay on the path or veer just slightly off. The decision to live the standard or to live our emotion. One decision could start you on the path to progress. Still, you have to keep making that decision repeatedly throughout the day. And then do it again the next day and the next.
Stack good decisions today.
