Stick with it

Thursday, July 11

Most people will get distracted.
Most people will quit when it’s difficult.
Most people will give up when they don’t get praised.
Most people will find something new when the excitement wears off.
Most people will shift directions when the current path is no longer convenient.
Most people will stop investing in the “difficult” people and go find someone “easier” to lead.

Which means most people will never come close to unlocking their potential. They don’t the willingness, the commitment or the discipline to see something through until the end. Life is a constant start something, give it some effort, quit, start something new, repeat.

Which means if you want to set yourself apart, if you truly want to see what you’re capable of, if you want to get the next level, be the kind of person who finishes. Be the kind of person who sticks with it. Be the kind of person who endures.

Progress rewards the patient and the persistent.
