Success and Failure
Tuesday, December 10
To help you/your team launch into 2025 with intention, I’m offering half off my virtual team sessions in December and January. These will be 1 hour sessions with your team, covering your pick of topic: leadership, mindset, communication, overcoming adversity, the process of greatness. More than ten teams across a variety of industries have already claimed spots. If you’re interested, just shoot me an email here.
That goal? That dream? That project? That promotion? It may not work out.
That’s a fun sentence to read, right? But it’s reality. Everyone wants to sell you on following your dreams and chasing your passions. And it’s not necessarily bad advice. But we must include the caveat that the thing we’re chasing may not come to fruition. You may fall short of the goal. The dream may fail. The project may never ship. You may not get picked.
But, the outcome of the chase doesn’t determine whether the chase was worth it. What did you learn in pursuing that goal you fell short of? How did you grow even though that dream failed? How are you better even though the project never shipped? What insight did you gain even though you weren’t picked?
A team not winning the championship doesn’t mean the season wasn’t worth playing.
Success in outcomes is never guaranteed. But when you view success as growing and becoming a better version of you in the pursuit of your goals? Then success is always guaranteed.
