What you really want

Friday, July 17
“I want to be successful.”
“I want to be a good leader.”
“I want to have a good culture.”
“I want to be healthy.”
“I want to be mentally tough.”
Do you? Or, like most people, do you say that because you feel like you’re supposed to? Is comfort the thing you actually want?
In working with high-performers for over a decade, I’ve realized that most people don’t want the thing they say they want. They want the feeling they think it will give them, but they don’t want to work for it. They want the shortcut.
If you aren’t willing to work for it, you don’t really want it.
